Date: Tuesday 30 May – Friday 2 June 2023
Venue: Lecture Theatre 1, University of Malta, Msida
This Spring, members of Quantumalta will be organizing a workshop on quantum information, computation and thermodynamics, titled: Quantum Information Malta 2023 (QIM23).
QIM-Quantum Information Malta is a workshop devoted to open problems in quantum computation, quantum thermodynamics and quantum entanglement. The interdisciplinary, cutting-edge research aspects of quantum computing will be addressed by world-leading experts delivering keynote lectures on the topics from a broader perspective and research talks on specific open problems to be addressed during the workshop. The schedule of QIM will be organised in such a way to have significant time for open discussions.
- Prof. Sabrina Maniscalco (University of Helsinki, Finland)
- Prof. Antonio Acin (ICFO-The Institute of Photonic Sciences,Spain)
- Prof. Karol Zyczkowski (Jagiellonian University, Poland)
- Prof. Francesco Plastina (University of Calabria, Italy)
- Prof. Yasser Omar (Portugese Quantum Institute, Portugal)
- Prof. John Goold (Trinity College Dubin, Ireland)
- Prof. Salvatore Lorenzo (University of Palermo, Italy)
Titles and abstracts of the talks can be found online.
Organised by the University of Malta, with the financial support of the Malta Council for Science and Technology (MCST) it will also showcase the research performed at the University of Malta on these topics and bring together national and international stakeholders of the quantum ecosystem.
A poster session and limited number of slots for talks are available. Acceptance for posters and talks will be communicated by Friday 5 May 2023.
