The Irish Embassy in Malta is proud to launch the International Joyce Exhibition, hosted at the architectural gem that is the Valletta Campus.
James Augustine Aloysius Joyce (1882–1941) is one of Ireland’s most influential and celebrated writers, best known for Ulysses (1922), which follows the movements of Leopold Bloom and Stephen Dedalus throughout Dublin on 16 June 1904. The exhibition showcases Joyce’s life and literary inspirations, taking visitors on a journey from his childhood and the foundations of his literary passion to the trials and tribulations that shaped his career.
On Wednesday 4 September, H.E. Caroline Whelan, the Irish Ambassador to Malta, will officially launch the exhibit at 10:00. Copies of Joyce’s most notable works, including Ulysses and Dubliners, will be available at the Valletta Campus Library.
The exhibition will run from 4 to 27 September, and will be open to the public Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 13:00.
