During the last months, we were extremely busy to renovate and bring to you the Be-Block. As from Tuesday 26 April 2022, the Student Services Office and Ms Joanne Grech (Administrative Office Room B203) will be operating from the second floor of Block B. Access to the Be-Block shall remain from the door in Car Park 6.
Be-Block will be the place to visit if you have any administrative issues to resolve or if you need to use the services offered by College. Be-Block has received more than a cosmetic change and has been designed purposely to bring the support staff together as a community to facilitate the coordination between the different arms of management and administration, and those of the services offered to students and staff for their wellbeing.
The second floor is reserved mainly for administration to include the Student Services Office, the Administrative Office and eventually our Communications & Events Office too.
The third floor will be opened in the coming weeks and is reserved for our Wellbeing Services to include the Counselling Services, the Student Advisory Service, the office of the Chaplain and the office of the Health & Safety Officer. Eventually the JC International Office will also start operating from the third floor too.
Be-Block also offers a space for the various JC Committees to meet as there are several meeting rooms available. We will eventually organise ourselves in time for the beginning of the next academic year to establish a booking system to avoid unnecessary discomfort.
Some rooms will still offer a space for teaching so that students keep circulating and ensure the block buzzing with life.
Heartfelt thanks are due to the industrial staff - Frankie, Amante, Silvan, Joe, Frans, Dario and Donato - for their hard labour in transforming this block into a happy place. Thanks are also due to our technical staff - Richard, Raid, Daniel and JohnLuke - to equip the rooms with the necessary services. Moreover a huge thank you to all the cleaning staff, Doris and her team, who have cleaned the rooms several times over during the stages of transformation. Extended thanks go to Marco, Liliana and Jacquline for their assistance. Finally, thanks to Duncan for his precious assistance and design flare.
