Student-athletes at Junior College demonstrate remarkable resilience, balancing academic responsibilities with the demands of competitive sport. Ryan Gatt is an example of this dedication. While keeping up with his studies, Ryan has excelled in cycling, achieving multiple national titles and strong international results. In 2024, he became National Champion Under-17 in both mountain bike and road events, and placed 10th in the Etna Excursion marathon from 75 riders. In 2025, he continued his success, winning the National Point Series Under-19 Mountain Bike and the National Champion Under-19 Road Bike, as well as competing in four international races in Italy and Sicily. Locally, he actively participates in events organised by the Malta Mountain Bike Association and the Malta Cycling Federation. Ryan’s ability to balance rigorous training with academic commitments exemplifies the perseverance and dedication of student-athletes at Junior College.
