Dr Melchior Vella, Director General of the Malta Competition and Consumer Affairs Authority (MCCAA), delivered an engaging presentation to first-year Economics students. During his talk, Dr Vella outlined the Authority’s role in safeguarding and promoting fair competition, making reference to key concepts such as mergers, monopolies, and collusive practices—topics that students encounter in their coursework.
The session provided a valuable opportunity for students to connect theoretical knowledge with real-world application. Students participated actively throughout, posing insightful and relevant questions, which contributed to a dynamic and interactive learning experience.
