Dear Colleagues,
On behalf of the Malta Further Education Forum (MFEF), we would like to extend our sincere thanks to all academic staff who participated in the first phase of this study. Your initial feedback provided invaluable insights into the sector’s initial readiness and expectations regarding the new SEC assessment system.
Please keep in mind that the MFEF is made up of senior leaders from Malta and Gozo's academic, vocational, and sporting Further Education institutions, including UM Junior College, MCAST, Giovanni Curmi Higher Secondary School, St Aloysius' College Sixth Form, De La Salle Sixth Form, and others.
As we progress through the academic year, we are now launching Phase 2 of this research. The core objective of this phase is to compare our initial expectations with the reality currently unfolding in our classrooms and workshops. By capturing this crucial transition from theory to practice, your feedback will directly enable us to identify emerging pedagogical gaps, track shifting workloads, and propose targeted professional development and institutional training that directly addresses the real-world needs of Further Education educators.
Did you miss Phase 1? Your voice is still vital. If you did not participate in the first phase, we strongly encourage you to join us now. The validity of this research relies on capturing a truly comprehensive representation of our workforce. Your current, real-time experiences with this student cohort are incredibly valuable and will significantly strengthen our collective recommendations.
Participation is entirely voluntary, and all responses will remain strictly anonymous. By submitting your responses, you are giving your informed consent for the data to be used solely for the purposes of this study. The data will be securely stored, accessible only to the MFEF research team, and retained for two years following the study’s conclusion in 2027, after which it will be securely destroyed.
We thank you in advance for your time and your continued contribution to this critical sector-wide initiative. You may download the Participant Information Sheet within the form for full details.
