University of Malta academic Dr Josephine Deguara, in collaboration with Dr Gladson Chikwa (Manchester Metropolitan University), Dr Edwin Rajah (Otago Polytechnic, Aukland Campus) and Dr Yanmin Zhao (The Education University of Hong Kong), has co-edited a newly published volume with Emerald Publishing titled Innovations in Pedagogical Practice and Curriculum Development in Higher Education.
This book brings together international perspectives on innovative practices in pedagogy and curriculum design across higher education (HE). Contributions reflect experiences of higher education practitioners from diverse cultural and geographical contexts, including Europe, Asia, the Middle East, North America and Australasia, offering fresh insights into current realities and challenges, as well as forward-looking practices in the sector.
Other University of Malta academics feature in this publication. Chapter 9 in this book, “Reconfiguring initial teacher education through COVID-19 times: Student teachers’ perspectives and experiences in Malta” was co-authored by Prof. Josephine Milton, Dr Josephine Deguara, Dr Charmaine Bonello, Dr Rosienne Camilleri and Dr Tania Muscat from the Department of Early Childhood and Primary Education. In addition, Prof. Marie Therese Farrugia contributed as a reviewer for the volume, while Prof. Valerie Sollars, Pro-Rector for Strategic Planning & Sustainability formally endorsed the book.
