Prof. Beate Jahn, President of the European International Studies Association, met the Rector, Prof. Alfred J. Vella, and the Pro-Rectors, Prof. Carmen Sammut (Chairperson of the Institute for European Studies) and Prof. Godfrey Baldacchino on Monday 9 December 2019 in preparation for the organisation of EISA's 2020 annual conference.
This conference will be held at the University of Malta and is entitled 'The Power Politics of Nature,' It will run from 16-19 September 2020.
The conference is being organised with the cooperation of the Institute for European Studies and will represent one of the largest academic conferences held in Malta. An estimated 1,300 delegates are expected to attend.
Prof. Jahn also held a series of academic and logistical meetings across campus, meeting the Heads of Department of International Relations, Public Policy, European and Comparative Law and the Centre for the Study and Practice of Conflict Resolution as well as the Scheduling Office, KSU, IT Services, Precincts and Childcare Services.
Prof. Jahn was accompanied by Dr Mark Harwood, Director Institute for European Studies and Ms Carmen Zammit, as well as Ms Lucienne Bugeja and the Conference and Events Unit team.
