Her new role will consist of running the day-to-day operations of the radio station by supporting the administrative, technical and sales departments, adhering to broadcast standards and regulations, and ensuring the station achieves its planned goals.
She has previously served as a Producer & Head of Programmes of the same station, but also carries a wealth of experience in the local media industry as she has produced, voiced over and scripted a number of shows on TV stations along the years.
"Over the years I have witnessed Campus FM adapt itself to the ever-changing challenges the medium faces as a result of rapid change in technology. I believe that Campus FM has a unique positioning in the Maltese media landscape not only because it is the only nationwide radio to be fully owned by an educational institution but also because of its unique output of programming. Given modern day technology, Campus FM can further position itself as the leader in the field of educational broadcasting by reaching out to new audiences that may not have had the opportunity to formally follow a programme of studies at the University of Malta. With a wealth of expertise at its disposal, Campus FM can easily forge collaborations with Faculties, Institutes and Centres to produce quality broadcasts that can benefit society at large," said Ms Buhagiar.
“I would like to thank the Board of Directors who have trusted me with leading the Campus FM team for the coming years, as well as those who I have had the pleasure to work with and learn from throughout my journey here”, she continued.
