As Christmas approaches and staff and students trickle away from campus, there is one segment of the University community that we leave behind, often without much thought – the University’s feline population.
Nearly 100 cats grace our presence during office hours, roaming around and warming the hearts of many – but as campus is the only place they call home, they require round-the-clock care 24/7, 365 days a year.
This festive season, the Marketing, Communications & Alumni Office decided to pay tribute to some of the dedicated UM cat feeders, who take time out of their private schedules to feed these cats, and make sure they are living their best life.
This week, we meet Dr Fabrizio Foni and Dr Irene Incarico from the Department of Italian, a pair of self-declared cat lovers who are drawn to the feline community because they lift their moods and just greatly contribute to their happiness.
