From 19 to 21 April 2021, Amb. Fred Tanner delivered a module at MEDAC on issues related to conflict prevention, frozen conflicts and the role of the OSCE.
During this module, students were able to benefit in particular from Dr Tanner’s broad experience as Special Advisor to the OSCE Secretary-General during the Ukrainian crisis in 2013/2014.
Prior to his work at the OSCE, Dr Fred Tanner was also one of the first Directors of MEDAC in the early 1990s, as well as Director of the Geneva Centre for Security Policy.
He currently is a visiting Professor at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva.
