The University of Malta has embarked on a project in collaboration with Europass to issue digitally sealed credentials to all its graduands. This is indeed an important step forward towards the digitalisation of the UM’s certification system and establishes the University as a stakeholder of Europass
In the near future graduates of academic year 2020/21 will be receiving their qualification as a European Digital Credential for Learning by email. This digital credential will be provided to students in addition to the paper-based Scroll and Diploma Supplement delivered during the graduation ceremonies.
Normally, graduands will be able to upload their credentials to their Europass wallet and share their credentials with others. This will facilitate the presentation of sealed and authentic qualifications digitally. In order for graduands to enjoy the full capabilities of the European Digital Credentials for Learning, the Office of the Registrar has prepared a set of instructions that can be found online [PDF].
