Welcome to all students who are starting off their first academic year at the University of Malta. This University journey will allow you to embrace curiosity. As soon as you start attending lectures, make sure to participate through an active engagement in class discussions. We encourage you to be curious. Therefore, do not hesitate to voice your opinion and communicate with your peers, which will ultimately result in a mutually enriching learning experience.
At this University we want to hear your voices, as we believe that our students are a reflection of the future of this country, and we are very proud to celebrate your milestones alongside you. We are very excited to welcome each and every one of you as part of the ever growing UM community.
During Freshers’ Week feel free to orient yourself by going around the University campus. Conveniently, there is also a campus map available online as well as on the myUM app. The University’s Marketing, Communications & Alumni Office, along with Toppin' Up and THINK magazine will be at Gateway building to welcome you as you embark on this journey.
Message from KSU (Kunsill Studenti Universitarji)
As the new scholastic year approaches, the KSU Freshers’ Week, held between 3-7 October, welcomes all new and continuing students at the University of Malta Quadrangle, Car Park 4, and a brand new area will be jam-packed with companies and student organisations, one of which is KSU, who will offer students new opportunities, guidance, and above all, a memorable first week of Uni Life.
This year, our theme is ‘Miegħek Għalik’, which reflects KSU’s year long ethos: working with you and for you. Through all of our projects, initiatives, campaigns, and events, we want to walk with you every step of the way as you start your journey at UM. KSU is immensely privileged to be working with a number of well-established companies to help you pave your way as a student. Student Organisations and Representatives will also be present to answer any of your questions and queries, so make sure to pay them a visit!
