Dr Guilherme Couto, a member of the Department of Radiography at the Faculty of Health Sciences, has been honoured with the esteemed Outstanding PhD Thesis Award from Ulster University. His thesis addressed the "Education of Therapeutic Radiographers across the European Union: competencies, professional mobility and patient care".

Dr Couto's groundbreaking research was closely linked with the SAFE EUROPE project, a European-funded initiative aimed at bridging educational disparities among Therapeutic Radiographers across Europe. More information about this project is available online.
