The Dean of Science Awards for outstanding students of the Faculty of Science was held on 15 March 2024, following an established tradition since 1995. The awarded students’ relatives and sponsors were invited to the ceremony which took place at the ICT Auditorium, Msida campus. The ceremony started with a welcome address by the Dean, Prof. Emmanuel Sinagra, followed by a speech by the Academic Registrar, Dr Colin Borg and from the Director of the STEM and VET Programmes, Ms Melanie Casha Sammut.
Prof. Sinagra congratulated the students receiving the awards and their parents for supporting them. The Dean also mentioned that as a tutor and mentor, he has always felt that academics should be thankful to students for trusting us to guide them through their learning journey.
At the end of the ceremony, Prof. Sinagra thanked the Deputy Dean and the Faculty administrative staff for the organisation and the sponsors; Evolve Limited, Environment and Resources Authority (ERA), Eunoia Limited, The Entomological Society of Malta (ESM), Agenda Bookshop, Torrent Pharma Malta, Medichem, MAPFRE, KPMG and NSO.
