The SEA-EU Alliance is preparing to present as many as four Joint Degrees over the next two years such as Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctorate degrees. This is quite an achievement that deserves proper promotion. For this reason, the two-day meeting agenda included mainly discussions on disseminating joint programmes. Representatives from each university also shared best practices for promoting international programmes, offering valuable perspectives on local communication needs and recruitment strategies.
The second day focused on communication strategies for joint programmes, addressing recruitment needs and improving internal and external processes. These discussions emphasised the importance of sustainability and interconnectedness in achieving the alliance’s mission.
Ms Stephanie Buttigieg and Mr Gabriel Izzo from the UM Marketing, Communications, and Alumni Office represented the University of Malta in their roles as Communications Experts on behalf of UM. They were joined by two members of the SEA-EU Office at UM: Ms Maria Grima Calleja, who serves as the leader of the SEA-EU Work Package focused on Dissemination, and Ms Stefania Zdral, the SEA-EU Communications Officer.
Reflecting on the event, Ms Stephanie Buttigieg shared: "We were eager to participate in this exercise to promote student opportunities through the SEA-EU Alliance. The joint programmes at different levels not only enhance the element of student mobility and vision of interconnectedness, but they also highlight the prioritisation of the universities on sustainability. We are grateful to have listened to, contributed to, enriched our personal and professional development and strengthened academic collaboration via this very important and timely discussion about multidisciplinary learning. It has certainly helped reinforce the alliance’s mission to build a diverse yet united community."
