Saint James Hospital, Maltaâs largest private hospital group, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the University of Malta to collaborate on national and EU-funded projects advancing medical practices, education, and research.
The MoU was signed by Mr Jean Claude Muscat, Director and Chief Executive Officer of Saint James Hospital, and Prof. Alfred J. Vella, Rector of the University of Malta.
The MoU establishes a framework for joint initiatives, leveraging the expertise of both institutions to tackle healthcare challenges and explore new research avenues. Together, the two entities will develop evidence-based practices and contribute to the continued improvement of healthcare delivery.
By combining the clinical expertise of Saint James Hospital with the academic and research strengths of the University of Malta, the institutions aim to make a lasting impact on the healthcare sector. This collaboration will benefit both the local community and the broader European landscape.

This initiative was spearheaded by Ms Sarah Albanozzo, Research Project Manager at the University of Malta.
