Dr Mario Pace, resident senior lecturer of Italian within the Department of Humanities & Languages in Education at the Faculty of Education, has recently been invited to give a lecture on “Reviving the Teaching of Foreign Languages” at the Universitets-och högskolerådet in Stockholm.
The lecture was part of a thematic seminar entitled “Quality, Innovation and Internationalisation within Language Teaching and Learning” organised by the Swedish National Agency, the Swedish Council for Higher Education in collaboration with the European Language Label, and attended by 35 language teaching experts from different European countries.
The objective of the seminar was to bring language teachers, language experts, language promotors and national authorities in the linguistic field, together in a thematic way to be able to discuss what a language project of high quality implies and how to reach an increased dissemination of the method, language course or product, which is the result of the project.
The focus of this seminar was on success factors, project examples and exchanges of experience, this by workshops and networking.
