An astronomy night at Dwejra Tower, Gozo, was held on Saturday 28 May, by the Department of Physics and the Institute of Space Sciences & Astronomy (ISSA) of the University of Malta, in collaboration with The Astronomical Society of Malta and Din l-Art Helwa.
Prof. Charles Sammut, head of the Department of Physics and Dean of the Faculty of Science, commented that the feedback received from over 200 people participating was very positive and encouraging, "The Department of Physics and ISSA, in collaboration with the Faculty of Science, which is celebrating its first centenary, will be organising other events intended to reach out to the general public and especially young students to share with them the excitement and beauty of science, apart from its fundamental importance in society."
