Professor Carmel Borg attended the 7th International Conference of the Popular Education Network (PEN), held at the University of Edinburgh between 22-24 June.
The PEN conference is an opportunity for university-based teachers and researchers, as well as others involved in higher education, to critically engage with current developments within higher education and to explore innovative ways of bringing universities closer to communities.
Professor Borg participated in a plenary session titled ‘Popular education: Universities and communities’.
The 8th PEN Conference will be held in South Africa, in 2018.
