The Department of Philosophy at the Nepal Academy in Kathmandu, Nepal, together with the Department of Philosophy at the University of Malta, organised a seminar at the Nepal Academy on issues that are pertinent to the Eastern and Western philosophical traditions.
The seminar was held on 19 December at the Nepal Academy Hall in Kathmandu, Nepal. A total of eleven international and five Nepali speakers participated at the event.
Professor Claude Mangion, Head of the Department of Philosophy at the University of Malta, was one of the international speakers, and gave a talk entitled 'On the concepts of Immortality and Rebirth in Meillassoux's The Divine Inexistence'.
Mr Ganga Prasad Uprety, Chancellor of the Nepal Academy, and Mr Dinesh Shrestha, the Honorary Consul for Malta, also attended the seminar.
