Dr Alessio Magro giving a short presentation on the careers in science
The Department of Physics hosted a group of students in their last year of Physics studies together with their teachers from St Nicholas College Dingli secondary school, on the 29th of November 2017. The students were first given a short presentation by Dr Alessio Magro from the Institute of Space Sciences and Astronomy (ISSA), who gave a brief overview on the careers in science.
Following the presentation, students were split into three groups and had the valuable opportunity of visiting the following laboratories: Electromagnetic laboratory, Ultra Wide Band laboratory, Geosciences Laboratory, Air Quality laboratory as well as the Antenna near the Portacabins in Car Park 3.
