The M.Sc. Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a degree course in one specific branch of ICT that deals with simulating intelligence within real-world applications.
This degree course has been purposely designed for working professionals, as well as, graduates who have just completed their undergraduate degree and would like to have a strong and deep understanding of topics related to AI. Eventually, students following this postgraduate degree will either focus on a possible proposed thematic area, such as Creative Technologies, Big Data, Artificial Vision, Automation or Fintech, or will simply concentrate on a generic advanced AI domain, before proceeding to a thesis. At the moment, the most popular streams within the M.Sc. AI degree are the Big Data and Fintech streams.
This M.Sc. intends to address current and future industry demands and niches by allowing the possibility of internships with industry partners. This initiative will be part of an applied project and/or the final project.
The programme has been flexibly designed and is intended for working professionals who would like to follow a part-time course within a time-frame that is slightly more than one calendar year while keeping in mind those students who work during the day. The M.Sc. AI is also offered as a full-time research degree for those working professionals who are carrying out research in industry.
