Four students following engineering undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes within the Faculty of ICT have recently attended a week intensive course in Nicosia, Cyprus.
This was the fourth intensive course of an Erasmus+ project called Next Generation Media over 4G+ Infrastructures whose partners are the Technological Educational Institute of Crete, the University of Malta, Bordeaux INP, the University of Nicosia, and Kingston University.
This course dealt with Next Generation Cloud-based Services.
It was hosted by the Computer Science Department of the School of Sciences and Engineering, University of Nicosia, Nicosia, Cyprus. Prof. Carl James Debono and Prof. Johann A. Briffa, from the Department of Communications and Computer Engineering, delivered the lecture on 'UHD/3D Media Delivery Tools in Mobile Clouds and Protocols for Optimal Energy Conservation' and attended the consortium meeting.
Mr John Zammit, reading a Master degree in Telecommunications, obtained the highest mark amongst all the participants in the final exam. A certificate of attendance was issued to all participants.
