Robert Napier, aged 23, has been elected as President of the European Students’ Union, and is in fact the youngest one to be elected to such position in the organisations’ history. Robert studied law at the University of Malta, and graduated with a Master of Advocacy last year. He has served as Social Policy Commissioner, Secretary General and President of the University Students’ Council (KSU).
The ESU represents almost 20 million students coming from 39 countries. During this year’s mandate as Vice President of ESU, Robert has been in charge of the portfolio of Social Dimension of Higher Education, as well as the implementation of SDGs and the relationship with UNESCO and the Council of Europe. He is currently also serving as co-chair of the BFUG Advisory Group on Social Dimension together with the Ministry of Croatia.
We at the UM wish our alumnus all the best in his new role as President of the European Students' Union.
