The 7th volume in a series of comparative education books about education in the Mediterranean region has just been published. Social and Emotional Learning in the Mediterranean: Cross Cultural Perspectives and Approaches is edited by Professor Carmel Cefai (Director of the UM Centre for Resilience and Socio-Emotional Health) together with Dominic Regester and Leyla Akoury Dirani and is published by Brill.
The book series, whose general editor is EMCER director Professor Ronald G. Sultana, is one of the outputs of the Euro-Mediterranean Centre for Educational Research, which is also responsible for running a Masters in comparative education, and for organising postgraduate Summer Schools on issues that are of specific interest and relevance to the region.
The next volume in the series is dedicated to educational leadership, and is co-edited by Dr Denise Mifsud and Dr Paolo Landri.
