A special section of the International Journal for Educational and Vocational Guidance, dedicating to the integration of migrants and refugees in the labour market, has just been published.
The collection of 9 papers was co-edited by Prof. Ronald G. Sultana, director of the Euro-Mediterranean Centre for Educational Research (EMCER) and member of the Faculty of Education, together with Prof Andreas Fejes from Linköping University (Sweden), and Prof Manon Chamberland from Université Laval (Canada).
Professor Sultana co-authored the editorial introduction, and also wrote a scoping paper. This sets out the key issues relating to the integration of the newly-arrived in the labour market, and the exemplary strategies that host countries have adopted in an effort to make the transition more successful (paper available online).
This IJEVG number also includes the following papers, some of which are freely available. Academics and researchers who do not have access to papers they require for their personal use can contact Professor Sultana (by sending an email) for a pre-publication offprint.
