In November 2022, Prof. Lino Bianco was as keynote speaker to the 17th edition of the International Scientific Conference on Civil Engineering and Building Services organised by the Transylvania University of Brașov (Romania) together with Shenyang Jianzhu University (China) and the Technical University of Moldova (Moldova).

During the conference Prof. Bianco, a UM resident academic at the Faculty for the Built Environment, gave a keynote presentation on the contemporary relevance of Vitruvius’s classic treatise to contemporary architecture, engineering and building science. His lecture has been published by the conference in the MDPI journal Sustainability.

During the same conference he presented a paper with his daughter Alessandra Bianco, a final-year student at the Faculty of Engineering on a non-destructive method for fixing placards with masonry structures.
