Her research team at Maynooth University is part of a consortium of ten participating organisations that will deliver ground-breaking contributions towards a clear understanding of what makes a suitable regulatory framework that promotes culturally diverse production and optimises inclusive access and consumption.
As part of this project, she is undertaking a survey to understand the barriers that people belonging to minorities, migrants, and persons with disabilities experience accessing digital culture. She wants to evaluate the adequacy of existing EU and national regulatory responses to tackle such barriers and support people from disadvantaged background to access digital cultural goods on an equal basis with others.
The survey only lasts approximately 12-15 minutes, and it will be essential for her to gather a better understanding of barriers faced in everyday life by persons with disabilities, indigenous persons, migrants, and persons belonging to a minority group.
This survey will be open until 5 May 2021. This survey will ask about their experiences and practices concerning digital cultural content, including their perceptions of barriers to access to such content.
