Through its Project Participation for Employment at Corradino Correctional Facility: Social Inclusion through Education and Training, the Prison Education and Re-Entry Platform is offering training courses for those interested in teaching incarcerated students.
These training courses will deal with areas related to:
Formal Education Informal Education and Sport Vocational Education
P4E@CCF, for short, is funded by the European Social Fund (ESF) Programme, with the University of Malta being a partner in the project.
Training courses, which are organised by the Faculty of Education at the University of Malta, are free of charge and are intended for those who carry out teaching duties in prisons.
Consisting of 16 hours each, the Formal Education and the Informal Education and Sport are self-directed online learning courses, while the Vocational Education course involves classroom-based learning.
A certificate of participation will be awarded to those who complete the course. The self-directed learning courses are composed of a number of tasks related to the online lessons. In this case, the certificate will be awarded upon completion of the tasks.
