With the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Malta Council for Science and Technology and the Chamber of Engineers on 3 August 2021, the engineering community will now be able to benefit from more research
funding opportunities.
Throughout this occasion, R&I has been identified as a key to economic competitiveness, sustainability and resilience in today’s markets, and the role of engineers who often play a central role within research across a number of fields was also acknowledged.
Dr Jeffrey Pullicino Orlando, Executive Chairman of the Malta Council for Science and Technology, said that MCST is actively engaged in promoting R&I in Malta, and “we therefore value collaborative initiatives such as this one.”
Ing. Malcolm Zammit, President of the Chamber of Engineers said that “as representatives of engineers, they always strive to provide them with more opportunities.”
