In an event organised by the European Commission, Directorate-General Research and Innovation, EU Member States and EEA countries, the EU Knowledge Valorisation Week brings together experts in knowledge valorisation from across Europe to enable the sharing of experiences and expertise across industries, discussion on current issues, and encouraging an exchange of views amongst peers - and our university plays a vital role!
With the challenges that are arising in our current society, it’s now more important than ever to valorise the research and scientific knowledge that we produce here in Europe. An industry-wide mobilisation of all the actors included in the valorisation process is needed in order to sustain our rapid progress in bettering the socio-economic uptake of research-based solutions in the Union. Exchanges between professionals, industries, researchers, and policy makers is the main aim of the week of talks in order to encourage cross-pollination from all ends.
Stakeholders have helped shape the programme into what it is now, making the 2022 edition of the Valorisation Week more than ever a place of exchange and collaboration. The week contributes to the new European Research Area (ERA), which will support the current work on “upgrading EU guidance for a better knowledge valorisation”.
In one of the many talks hosted throughout the week, Andras Havasi, from UM’s Knowledge Transfer Office, will be moderating “Tangible Progress for Intangibles: Access to and Sharing of Intellectual Assets” on Friday 1 April at 09:30.
Registration for the week of events is open to everyone until the 30 March 2022. The programme can be found and all talks will be streamed on EU Knowledge Valorisation Week 2022 | European Commission.
