The Office for Human Resources Management & Development will be offering a Fire Warden Course for all UM members of staff. Training will be delivered by qualified and experienced trainers from St John Rescue Corps. Since this training involves a practical element a limited number of participants will be accepted. The last few spaces are available so it is highly recommended that interested participants would register at their earliest.
The Fire Warden course provides participants with awareness and understanding of the causes and effects of fire and helps them to identify and reduce the risk that fire presents in the workplace. It also provides an understanding of different types of fire extinguishers and practical training for correct use. Techniques for successful evacuations will be discussed and suggested.
