The Office for Human Resources Management & Development will be offering a First Aid Course for all UM members of staff in May 2022. This course will mainly be held online, with the final practical session to be held on campus. The last few spaces are available so it is highly recommended that interested participants would register at their earliest.
This course will cover a broad range of topics to enable participants to confidently manage emergency situations, provide a first aid response to a casualty, delegate tasks to bystanders, and engage and inform the emergency services. This course covers first aid protocols for adults, children and infants by provididing a comprehensive set of practical skills needed by first aiders.

By the end of this training the participants will be:
- able to recognise life-threatening situations;
- able to offer vital assistance before more professional help arrives;
- able to provide single-person CPR on an adults, children and babies;
- qualified as a workplace first aid person.
