The U.S. Embassy is excited to announce that the 2024-2025 Fulbright Visiting (Maltese) Scholar Program competition is now open and the deadline to apply is 30 November 2023!
The Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program provides grants to approximately 850 foreign scholars from over 100 countries to conduct post-doctoral research at U.S. institutions from an academic semester to a full academic year. The length of the program can vary from four to six months to a year.
Fulbright offers opportunities for Maltese faculty and professionals to teach, research, and exchange ideas in U.S. educational institutions. Fulbright Scholars come from all academic and professional backgrounds. To participate in the Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program, the applicant must have:
- a doctoral degree or equivalent professional training or experience at the time of application.
- sufficient proficiency in the English language to carry out the project required.
