Academic staff are encouraged to use WISEflow in order to benefit from its advantages, including the upload of examination papers and the marking of examinations online. This is an opportunity for the University to actualise its vision in reducing the use of printed paper as part of its strategic aims on sustainability as outlined in the Strategic Plan.
Academic staff may refer to the various online clips and guides and ask for assistance at a F/I/C/S level or contact our official email address on firstname.lastname@example.org for any queries regarding WISEflow.
For the upcoming examination session in February 2021, academic staff may also ask administrative staff to upload their file-based examination paper (essay-type, multiple choice and short questions and answers) on WISEflow in a PDF format, provided that the Board of Examiners' procedures, as outlined in the University Regulations, are adhered to. This is especially the case when the examination paper is being designed, including the writing of the rubric giving clear instructions to students.
In the case of marking examinations, academic staff are encouraged to use WISEflow functionality given its benefits not only in terms of paper reduction but also by increasing the efficiency of the marking process. Nevertheless, academic staff can still provide the usual marking sheet (Grade Form Result Sheet) to administrative staff as per usual procedure.
As part of the training endeavours provided by the above-mentioned offices, a series of online learning resources for UM staff and students were created in relation to WISEflow.
