The theme chosen for Lent this year by the University of Malta Chaplaincy is 'Journeying through the unknown - Becoming Easter People', a theme that goes well with these challenging times, where, through a journey of faith, we can face the unknown with hope and strength.
The following are the activities being held by the UM Chaplaincy for Lent 2021:
- Ash Wednesday 17th February - Mass and Prayers
We will be celebrating Mass at 07:20, 12:30 and 19:30. At 19:00 we invite you to join us for a half hour of Taizé payers.
You may attend the Taizé Prayers and the 19:30 Mass in person at the University Chapel or follow the livestream via our Facebook page.
- Week of Guided Prayer
- Intro Mondays
- Giving Tuesdays
Every Tuesday, we will be supporting a different organisation that supports the vulnerable.
- Prayer Wednesdays
During the Chaplaincy Wednesday Prayers at 19.00 during Lent we will be reflecting on the lives of different contemporary persons of faith, how they faced the unknown and became Easter persons, beacons of hope. This event will be both presential and live-streamed on our Facebook page.
- Confession Thursdays
A priest will be available for confession or any conversation, between 11.00 - 12:30 or at any other date by appointment. Send an email to let us know you'll be dropping by.
- Fasting Fridays
We invite you to a different kind of 'Fast' each Friday - Follow our page and Chapel notice board for more details.
