The procurement process of cloud computing services for teaching and research has now been simplified through the Open Clouds for Research Environments (OCRE) framework thanks to the collaboration with GÉANT.
IT Services has agreements in place with cloud service providers to facilitate the procurement of cloud services without the need for a tender procurement process.
Besides a simpler procurement process, UM departments will also benefit from discounts on platform list prices for all eligible services.
The services currently available through the framework include Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS) and complementary Software as a Service (SaaS) from:
Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Google Cloud Platform
Microsoft Azure
