Extended Opening Hours
The Library is extending its opening hours until Saturday, 12 February 2022.
The Main Library Study Halls on Level II and Level III will open on:
Mondays to Fridays: 07:00 - 23:00
Saturdays: 09:00 - 16:45
Sundays & Public Holidays: 09:00 - 16:45
The Circulation Desk, Melitensia and Reference Departments will be closed during the extended opening hours.
Book transactions (borrowing & returning books) are carried out until 20:00 during weekdays and until 12:15 on Saturdays.

Databases
The Library has recently licensed Taylor & Francis Medical Library.
The T&F Medical Library is a collection of medicine journals included in Taylor & Francis Online database.
This collection contains current content from over 200 peer-reviewed academic journals.
Top ranked journals included in this collection:
- Critical Reviews in Clinical Laboratory Sciences
- Critical Reviews in Toxicology
- Drug Metabolism Reviews
- International Reviews of Immunology
- Nanotoxicology
- World Journal of Biological Psychiatry
Access to Taylor & Francis Online is available on campus and remotely to all UM staff and students holding a UM IT Account.
Database is available under Multi-disciplinary and Health Sciences categories and on the list of databases is available on the Library website.
News from the Library of the Institute for European Studies
The Institute for European Studies Library (EDC) hosted the first of a series of talks on topics related to the Conference of the Future of the European Union.
The series was launched by Dr Mark Harwood, Director of the Institute for European Studies - University of Malta, and the first talk was given by Professor Roderick Pace, Jean Monnet Professor and resident academic at the Institute. More talks are planned in the future.
What's new in OAR
Publications list on UM Academic profile webpage
As from January 2022, RefWorks Legacy is being phased out and will no longer be synchronising with the Publications List available on UM Academic Profile webpage.
To this effect, Publications lists will be generated exclusively via the UM Institutional Repository, OAR@UM. Nevertheless, current Publications Lists generated via RefWorks will be retained until Q2 2022. As from July 2022, Publications lists generated via RefWorks will no longer feature on the UM Academic Profile webpage.
