Recognising student achievements at the Annual Pharmacy Symposium

During the Annual Pharmacy Symposium, awards were presented for best student presentations to recognise achievements of students following studies in Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical technology at Bachelor, Master and Doctorate level.

A strength of the Department of Pharmacy is the collaboration with stakeholders in the Pharmaceutical and Healthcare sectors reflecting a shared commitment to advancing Pharmaceutical Education, research excellence and student-centred empowerment.

The Auribindo Best Pharmaceutical Presentation was awarded to third year pharmaceutical technology student Jael Ellul, who worked on a project on ‘Artificial Intelligence in the Pharmaceutical Sector’.

The best Master of Pharmacy presentation was supported by CombinoPharm and was awarded to Ylenia Marie Xerri, who presented her research on ‘Pharmacists Interventions in Ambulatory Cancer Care’.

Claudia Angele Galea, was presented the Torrent Pharma best Master of Science in Pharmaceutical and Regulatory Sciences Presentation for her research on ‘Compliance in Quality Control reviewing processes of Finished Products’.

The Brown’s Pharma best Doctorate in Pharmacy presentation was awarded to Raquel Formosa, who presented here research dissertation on ‘Pharmacist-Led Point-of-Care Testing of Iron Levels’.

These awards celebrate the research excellence, interdisciplinary collaboration and the student empowerment achieved by the students within the Department of Pharmacy of the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery.
