Published on 20/05/2021

Our Action will be participating in the next International Congress of Hyperthermia Oncology held between 6th and 9th October, 2021 and it will be held online. For this meeting we are organising two convened sessions and a gap analysis workshop. More details on the latter will be uploaded soon.

In the meantime, we would like to invite you to express your interest in participating in one of the convened sessions by submitting your short abstract here. You can submit your abstracts until Friday, 11th June, 2021.

The convened sessions are the following:

Fundamental knowledge in EM Hyperthermic technologies.

This session will focus on aspects related to the current knowledge of dielectric & thermal properties, measurement methods of dielectric & thermal properties, addressing gaps in knowledge through the characterisation of biological tissues by providing new knowledge to the community, numerical & experimental phantoms relevant to EM hyperthermic technologies.

EM Hyperthermic Technologies: Innovative methods and systems towards clinical applications and commercialisation.

This session will focus on aspects related to treatment planning and monitoring, numerical and computational models, nanoparticles, commercialisation aspects of EM medical devices, optimisation and quality assurance.

The absract will be reviewed by the core group of MyWAVE and eventually by ICHO should you wish to have it published in the conference proceedings.

Looking forward to your contributions!

Ps. In order to be able to present your paper during the conference you still need to register on the ICHO website here. MyWAVE members (that are not students) will be paying members fee. Students will pay their respective fee.

Also please note that fees might be revised following the recent decision for the conference to go virtual.
