Abstract: Chemoselective synthesis and deprotection of 1,1-diacetates have been performed in good yields and in the absence of any solvent by zeolite HSZ-360 as a new reusable catalyst. 1,1-Diacetates are synthesized from the corresponding aldehydes in good yields with zeolite HSZ-360 as reusable catalyst. The regeneration of the starting materials is performed by utilising the same catalyst under microwave irradiation.
