| Abstract: | The aim of this paper is not to resolve the problem of the 'Mother Goddess' by a pan-European analysis. but to explore the relevance of the Mother Goddess concept for one island society, that of Malta, where good contextual evidence has recently been reinforced by the fresh research of an Anglo-Maltese project. |
