| Abstract: | Manoel Theatre Orchestra and Chorus Melitensis present the programme for their performance of Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy's oratorio "Elijah", conducted by Mro. Joseph Sammut, led by George Spiteri, and starring vocalists Antoinette Miggiani (soprano), Josephine Mifsud (contralto), Andrew Sapiano (tenor), and Joe Vella Bondin (bass). The Chorus Melitensis was instructed by Bice Bisazza in this performance. The performance was held on the 16th of June, 1973, at the Manoel Theatre, in Valletta. |
| Description: | Two programmes included, one regular programme with performers' signatures and one souvenir programme without signatures. Regular programme includes biographical note on Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy, song list of featured oratorio, list of Manoel Theatre Management Committee, list of forthcoming events at the Manoel theatre, and picture of Manoel theatre's booking plan. Souvenir programme includes photo of Chorus Melitensis, photo of conductor Joseph Sammut, lists of female and male choir members in Chorus Melitensis, list of featured vocalists, list of songs of featured oratorio, photos of featured vocalists Antoinette Miggiani, Josephine Mifsud, Andrew Sapiano and Joe Vella Bondin, and list of Chorus Melitensis Committee members.
