| Abstract: | Manoel Theatre Orchestra presents the programme for their vocal and orchestral concert, conducted by Ino Savini, led by George Spiteri, and starring soloists Beatrice Bianco (soprano), Maria Maddalena (contralto), Gaetano Scano (tenor), and Piero Francia (baritone). The concert featured the Manoel Theatre Choir, which were instructed by Marietta Magro and Josanne Tagliaferro. The concert was performed as part of the International Arts Festival 1977, and featured the musical works from the operas of Wagner, Verdi, Leoncavallo, Ponchielli, Giordano, Saint-Saëns, Puccini, Gounod, and Massenet. The performance was held on the 17th of December, 1977, at Manoel Theatre, in Valletta. |
