Abstract:	Manoel Theatre and the Bristol Opera Company present the programme of the 4-act tragic opera "Aida", written by Antonio Ghislanzoni, with music composed by Giuseppe Verdi, and produced by Ian Burton, with musical direction from David Selwyn. The opera featured the Manoel Theatre Orchestra, which was led by George Spiteri. The opera also featured choreography designed by Judy Harris The performance was held in celebration of Bristol Opera Company's Diamond Jubilee, from the 6th till the 9th of April, 1983, at the Manoel theatre, in Valletta.
Description:	Three copies of programme (two versions) included: one regular programme with performers'/crews' signatures, one regular programme without signatures, and one Jubilee Souvenir programme with performers'/crews' signatures. Regular programme copies include synopsis of "Aida", lists of cast and chorus members, lists of crew from Bristol Opera Company and Manoel theatre, short note of acknowledgements, list of honorary officers in the Bristol Opera Company, note on Bristol Opera Company's history, and notes with photos on actors Meirion Ashton, Daphne Brand, Teresa Davey, Malcolm Daw, Andrew Goode, Sylvia Griffin, John Lye, Norma Minors, Marie Thompson, Bill Hines, Peter Jones, Roger Kinsman, Clive Watts and Kenneth Crowhurst, producer Ian Burton and musical director David Selwyn.
