| Abstract: | Manoel Theatre and the Bristol Opera Company present the programme of the 4-act tragic opera "Aida", written by Antonio Ghislanzoni, with music composed by Giuseppe Verdi, and produced by Ian Burton, with musical direction from David Selwyn. The opera featured the Manoel Theatre Orchestra, which was led by George Spiteri. The opera also featured choreography designed by Judy Harris The performance was held in celebration of Bristol Opera Company's Diamond Jubilee, from the 6th till the 9th of April, 1983, at the Manoel theatre, in Valletta. |
