Abstract: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Culture and the Kumitat Festi Nazzjonali present the programme for the event "Folk Malti", held in celebration of Jum ir-Repubblika (Republic Day). The event featured performances from the Manoel Theatre Orchestra (conducted by Mro. Joseph Sammut) and the Manoel Theatre Choir (directed by Mro. Joseph Vella). The event also featured musical performances from the Greenfields, Qawsalla, Mary Rose Mallia, Lino Cauchi and Tony Camilleri, and dance performances by folk groups "Viva Malta" (choreographed by George Zahra) and "Zepp u Grezz" (choreographed by Lilian Theuma). It also featured a comedy performance by Charles Thake and Vitorin Galea. The event, which was produced by Charles Vella and presented by Mary Camilleri, was held on the 12th and the 13th of December, 1983, at the Manoel theatre, in Valletta.
