| Abstract: | Manoel Theatre and the Hon. Minister of Foreign Affairs and Culture present the programme for an operatic concert, conducted by Mro Joseph Sammut, led by George Spiteri, and performed by the Manoel Theatre orchestra. The concert starred singers Miriam Gauci (soprano), Stefka Mineva (mezzo soprano), Redento Comacchio (tenor), and Ivan Konsulov (baritone). The concert featured the musical operatic works of Bellini, Giordano, Cilèa, Puccini, Bizet, Verdi, Mascagni, and Donizetti. The performance was held as part of the International Arts Festival 1984, on the 3rd of August, 1984, at St. Paul's Square, in Mdina. |
