Abstract: Manoel Theatre presents the programme for the 3-act opera "Tosca", written by Luigi Illica and Giuseppe Giacosa, with music composed by Giacomo Puccini, and directed by Joe Fenech. The opera performance featured the Manoel Theatre Orchestra (led by George Spiteri) and the Manoel Theatre Choir, both of which were conducted by Mro. Joseph Sammut. The performance also featured students from the Johann Strauss School of Music. The performance was held on the 22nd, the 25th, and the 27th of November, 1986, at the Manoel theatre in Valletta.
Description: Programme includes list of cast with Joseph Huber's signature, short note on the premier productions of "Tosca" in different countries, synopsis of each act in the opera "Tosca", photo of composer Giacomo Puccini, essay on the very first production of "Tosca", notes with photos and signatures on conductor Mro.
