| Abstract: | Manoel Theatre presents the programme for an orchestral and concert concert of Gioacchino Rossini's "Stabat Mater", conducted by Rev. John Galea, and performed by St Julian's choir and the Manoel Theatre Orchestra. The concert starred soloists Tanya Parlato-Trigona (soprano), Marie Thérèse Vassallo (mezzo soprano), Brian Cefai (tenor), and Anthony Montebello (bass). The performance was held on the 20th of February, 1990, at Manoel Theatre, in Valletta. |
| Description: | Two copies of programme included, one with conductor's and soloists' signatures, and the other without. Both programmes include list of members of St. Julian's Choir, note with group photo on St. Julian's Choir, lyrics of Stabat Mater in Latin and in English, historical note on Stabat Mater, notes with photos on singers Tanya Parlato-Trigona, Marie Thérèse Vassallo, Brian Cefai and Anthony Montebello and conductor Rev. John Galea, and list of acknowledgements from the Manoel Theatre Management Committee. Programme is given no. 1254 in archival records. Retrieved from the Manoel theatre records. |
